Back in Flavigny/ Paris endings
I have many things to update on that have happened since the beginning of July- Bastille Day, my trip to Barcelona, and my amazing week spent in Greece- but in my usual blogging fashion that will all have to wait. This is one of those entries that is perfectly timed with my desire to write…in the past those moments have not coordinated themselves with internet or computer access. I am back in Flavigny with Maud and Lucy and I can’t begin to explain how much I enjoy being here. Being back in Paris this week was weird- August definitely makes for an emptier city- the post office decides to take a two hour break in the middle of the day and my favorite bakery is closed for the month. I also had to move in with a friends family for the week- which I am incredibly grateful for given the circumstances- but its adding to the growing feeling that I would like to be at home with my family. I’ve been ready to go home for a while now. Even if doctor appointments, jury duty and repacking all await me, it will be great to have Mom & Jay waiting for me at the airport :)
There is a dog, Kleps, staying with Maud for all of August and he is wonderful. ’ A peach of a dog’ as Maud says or a total and complete ‘przylepa,’ Polish for someone that literally sticks with you and wants your attention all the time.definitely would like to have a dog sometime in the future. Yesterday we visited ‘La source de la Seine’ (Where the Seine begins) and took a long walk through the forest with Kleps. I took a great picture in a sea of wheat. Today we’re moments away from leaving to go horseback riding- something I haven’t done for a while and am very excited about.
Tomorrow morning I go back to Paris, babysit Quinn for the last time, and then Friday is my last day. Saturday morning I fly to Zurich and then back to NY.
Yep,
